Although it is nice to fill up with only 20$, my Doge Neon sucks.
The first problem is the leaking of oil, although the car is 12 years old, it only has about 70,000 miles on it, and at least 5000 are from my driving down to Milwaukee on a weekly basis and a trip back and forth to La Cross. My Neon is a first year Neon, which according to my dad is a rather bad investment, there are still many kinks to work out of the design problem and they haven't receded any feedback.
The reason that it is leaking oil is because they made the engine block out of two different metals, to try something new and be all experimental and stuff. The problem with that is that two metals (in this case aluminum and the standard steel i believe) shrink and expand at different rates, breaking the head gasket. Getting a new head gasket is $500 to get replaced, $500 can buy a hell of a lot of oil.
(btw if any mechanics want to call me out on my bullshit, feel free i won't be offended)
Another thing is the defroster, i would put a picture up on here if i could find my camera at the monument. For reference, just think of the dash on your car, there are more then one heating vent right? There is on bigger longer on in the middle and two little ones on the side, right? I only have the lager on in the center, it only defrost the middle of my windshield, a right pain in the ass when I'm driving down the highway
The last thing is that I only have a radio, no cd player, no tape desk. I would very much like to listen to my own music rather then the stuff on the radio, but I have never seen an radio adapter that made sence or lasted more then 3 hours on batteries.

I am totally with you! I have a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero and I've been shopping because I cant stand it anymore! It's a piece of poop! Half the things inside of it are broken, or aren't usable! I feel for ya!
